Does anyone use a Warmane 3.3.5a Client for a different Wrath server?
I've got my server set up and everything, and I can connect to it even through a hotspot on my phone, so I know my port forwarding worked correctly. But the other user in a different place is trying it, and all he sees is the message that he's entered invalid information. This tells me that even though the realmlist was updated to my IP address, the client is still connecting to Warmane.

What's even weirder is that I downloaded the warmane client, and it worked perfectly for me. I just changed the realmlist, and it works.

Havent played Kara40 yet, but....there are multiple raid-centric guilds that still have that raidon progression, nevermind many other that havent even tried it.
And in Kara40, for being the most difficult raid, you only get an intermediary set of armor (3.5). Grim Batol will be were we will get the 4 Tier armor set.

In 1.18 Alliance are getting three new zones (Grim Reaches, Northwind, and Balor), two dungeons (Stormwrought Ruins and Dragonmaw Retreat), two new subzones (Rugford's Mountain Rest and Ursan Heights).
Horde are getting no new zones, no new dungeons, and two new subzones (Slickwick Oil Rig and Earthen Ring).
The new arena is also Alliance-coded since it's high elf themed.
1.18 is undeniably an Alliance patch.

I don't think content has to be 100% mirrored. I think Turtle is doing right by giving Horde and Alliance new stuff even if Alliance might get a little more. 1.18 feels like they got it right.
When I spoke to the Turtle devs years back about this, they said basically it was easier to expand on the Alliance side of things than the Horde side of things. I gave them some suggestions on storylines they could follow Horde-wise and it does seem like they at least listened because one of the big ones was "follow up on a lot of the Orc clans that vanilla forgot" and that seems to be the focus on this patch.

1) Echo Isles. Should be expanded because it's way too small in vanilla compared to what it was in WCIII.

It's funny when people talk about playing warlock like summoning is some big hassle on turtle. There's a fairly cheap bag that holds 84 shards, has a 25% not to consume them, and drain soul is a part of your main rotation in raid. Also summoning doesn't usually start until the scheduled raid time. So you don't even need to be early, just not late.

GPT was the first place I looked to. It had nothing.
We aren't in the same house. I know the server is public because I was able to connect to it from a steam deck connected to my phone's hotspot.
I'm pretty sure it's not an issue with networking though just because of what's going on with her client.
It doesn't show the "Unable to connect" message like it would if it just couldn't see my server. it shows the "Invalid login" message, implying that it sees a server, just not one where she has the right account details. I gave her the account I created for her, and assume she's been typing it in correctly.
Also, on the right, where it shows the last used realm, it still just shows Onyxia since it's a warmane client.

If you are interested in BGs then do not level an alliance warlock. Alliance is super fucked in PvP on turtle, and WotF doesn't do anything to help (but it's not the core issue). The core issue is probably that Shamans are incredibly easy to fuck BGs up with, so all the people that like winning in BGs have migrated to horde over the past 3-12 months. So now all the good PvP players are on horde sitting in massive queues, while on Alliance you get 0-5 min queues to lose every single time.

I wonder how this dynamic will work out on Ambie. But it's not even a question that all the Turtle PvPers that are rolling on the fresh will be going Horde, so probably more of the same.
