Xrd Baiken is an almost perfect execution of the idea, putting her guard cancels behind a parry that you can guard cancel into was a brilliant way to preserve the concept without making her +r levels of "literally just cannot do pressure", you're working off outdated memes from baikenfags that never played her in +r but kept claiming they were waiting for her release to get into Xrd anyway, got washed for a week when she came out(or just watched Max do it) and then spent the next 5 years whining about how bad she is because her powerful completely unique defensive option doesn't just completely negate the other character's existence.

Zappa probably would have worked out pretty well. Centipedes probably wouldn't be a DP that removes OTG state any more, they'd have reworked the summons a bit like Dog probably wouldn't be able to just 2D in blockstun, ghosts might lose the curse that throws random shit at you etc, and he definitely wouldn't get summons as a RNG reward for fucking getting hit, but those would be good changes, and those would be good changes because fuck that nonsense, and fuck Baku, good riddance.
