For me gravure is secondary, the girls that I follow are idols or celebs and only do gravure work once every few months, which feels more natural since you get to know their personalities and stuff from their lives rather than just see their bodies without any connection to who they are, for example I rather see them do different things first, like sports, pranks, acting, appear in tv or streams, travel abroad or local, radio, youtube, documentaries, behind the scenes, competitions etc.

It also kinda mirrors for who their date too, actresses tend to date actors, top idols tend to date male idols and rich CEOs (like hoshino minami), underground idols date youtubers or business owners or producers, gravure models tend to date olympic and pro sports athletes, JAV girls tend to become single mothers.
