Or legos offering, but there’s two issues, when seeing them as kids toys:
You don’t really learn much about (mechanical) technology with modern stuff. Prime goal is looks and if there are any working details, they’re wells hidden.
And the target audience is AFOLs with more money than brains. Seriously, most (((18+))) LEGO models actually actively kill your brain cells, they’re so dumbed down.
What about those various “STEM” sets on AliExpress? That seems like a good thing to get a technically minded kid.
Just not sure if the manual isn’t in Chinese. Pictures still work, but I’d love to have some explanation on the underlying gears and stuff.
