Just turned 35. In the last 5 years Astlibra has been my favorite gaming experience. I grew up playing side scrolling platformers and jrpgs, metroid ff castlevania tales etc. So playing this indie project with vanillaware's shigatake, unabashed chuuni fantasy world saving plot with time travel, I've never felt more in tune with a dev. Plot twists everywhere, a story that keeps escalating like it's emulating gurren lagann with an equal sense of never giving up despite impossible odds, continually integrated power progression systems to keep the game interesting, and the best music literally no money can buy because it's all royalty free yet somehow still god-tier. I can't shill this hard enough to the very specific subset of people who this is built for.
