Vanquish's God Hard mode is completely insane. That's definitely much harder than NG2 (and imo not as fun, tough the rest of the game is kino)
Also God Hand on hard is utterly insane too even if that's just DIE rank, which can happens on normal.. and very easily, too.
People shit on Itagaki for NG2 but I think Mikami was even more crazy. God Hand's rank system makes it so bullshit difficult that even though I consider it a god tier game I still can't rank it higher than NG4.

bro.. playing hard your very first go is prolly not a good idea, especially not when you're still figuring out the basics. All it's gonna do is give you less room for errors to actually learn.
I've played both normal and hard so far and to clear hard without too much pain you really need to know the best moves and strategy for levels and bosses movesets and parry timings for bosses.
Doing all of this on hard on your first time is just insane even on normal and assuming you get all health upgrades some bosses will still have attacks that can oneshot you.
