What a lot of people don't realize is that appleheads don't actually live that long, but when you look up "chihuahua lifespan" most articles or search results don't distinguish between apple or deer head so the longer lifespan of 14-20 is featured under appleheads while in reality they only live on average between 9-12 years. It's insane how much of a difference head size contributes to the lifespan of a dog.
