Just using 4chan and the thread once in a while is enough imo. But having people actually come and inter mix with each other is important too.
I've been thinking if it's a good time to take some ideas out of the playbook of the normies and japanese who are good with keeping big communities together.
Think Doujinshi events like Reitaisei of touhou or furality of the west.
On a deeper note, what is it exactly that allows a bigger community to think and act for the greater continuation of the group?
I've always thought it was consistent effort with and for each other, communication, fun/novelty, common theme and recollection of happy memories that make people stay through thick and thin.
This is why most of the events I've made are using these five main principles
1) Communication - FBF
2) Recollection of Happy Memories - Vault, Tanabata
3) Effort for/with Each Other - Secret Santa, Tanabata, Easter Egg Hunt, sports festival
4) Fun/Novelty - Sports Festival, Easter Egg Hunt, Dreadfest, Halloween, Wheel of 4chan
5) Common theme - Fumo, Fashion, Halloween
etc.
Some events utilize multiple principles.
What do you think anon?
