My experience with linux over the years
>icon and text scalling on most are off and need tinkering
>OOB fonts are ugly, you still need to install Windows fonts, or most .docx files will look like ass
>pad don't work wirelessly on some distros, PS pad need some alpha drivers from git to work
>native games either crash or have issues with fullscreen and image scaling or don't even launch, so much for indie devs supporting linux
>installing a non-steam windows game in steam is fucking tedious (inb4 Lutris - whole point of physical or GOG is to not use another launcher)
>unless you use a basic distro like Debian or FUCKING ARCH, you get bloat
>getting rid of bloat is harder than Win11
>FUCKING ARCH not being at all bloated, means you will spend an hour after install to get the basic apps running
>rolling release distros are pretty much as prone to updates fucking something up as Windows if not more, only you won't hear about it
>"gaming" distros like Bazzite, Manjaro or Pop have their own set of issue mostly being performance
>older games still run much worse than Win
>mods will not work in some cases and nobody will help you
>uncommon peripharals like support is ass or non-existent (joysticks, arcade sticks, trackir)
>pretty much every open-source alternative to proprietary software has an interface that is designed to frustrate
>linux better productivity is a meme, it's the last OS I would ever use for work ever
>there are real people who will defend Vim
So yeah, I'd say if you love solving problems you wouldn't have otherwise, linux is great.
