It was always going to be a controversial episode because

>MULTIPLE scenes of characters' trauma dumping and therapy talk
>the actual gun scenes are very limited meaning the "adventure" is less relevant than ever
These are all things that make it look like a bottle episode, which would make sense after the amount of assets they built on episode 5 and them wanting to save on budget. And those episodes are always controversial, regardless of the intentions behind them.
I do like the character development and how it builds up intrigue, but I wasn't too into the aspects that make this look like a budget episode. Maybe I've seen too many cartoons, but I have seen this type of thing before, and the climax only being Jax ranting lies about himself instead of something genuinely horrible happening I think removes some of the impact. And while I enjoy the things everyone said about each other (great voice acting), let's not pretend they aren't just stating their feelings out loud constantly. I think I would have loved it if we only had certain characters have those moments, not literally every single character but Caine.
