E33 - small team came together by sourcing outside talent in weird places with an indie budget.
Hollow Knight - small team takes almost a decade to make the same game but a quarter the size with huge release success funds.

Ackshully Warhammer is not for everyone as not everyone is going to find Warhammer to be their appealing cup of tea. GW seems to be following the trend of alienating long time fans in favor of gathering new ones and rotating those new ones out in a vicious cycle via retcons and price gauging.
