I know your ass just wanted to repost the /a/ thread but
>Fate
most cohesive, simple in a fun way, and reads much like a medieval fairytale. Shirou's emotional conflict is the most straightforward here and it makes for great payoff. only detriments are Caster and Assassin being handwaved but DEEN's smorgasbord kinda proves you didn't need them concluded anyway
>UBW
kinda jankier but also the first thing that comes to mind when I think about FSN. Shirou's dynamic with Rin, while the faintest and also most formulaic of the 3, is greatly executed and makes for the least bittersweet ending. Caster and Gil's expanded roles are fun to witness, and Illya's given a nice BTFOing complete with a sympathetic backstory. Wakame survives this one too, what isn't there to love?
>HF
the most "fun" one from a plottwist/tone perspective, but also the most slapdash one. the prominent horror elements are fantastic are the new characters and stakes make for a refreshing and suspenseful experience. Sakura's codependency with Shirou feels a bit off but her redemption is ultimately satisfying still. SLH, normal end and true end are all kino, even if true feels (and is) a copout.
