I'm not cultured enough to enjoy musicals
just not highbrow, I suppose
I guess I liked Disney stuff when I was little like Lion King and Aladdin, and Mel Brooks stuff, but as an adult, show tunes songs aren't good enough in comparison to legitimate bands and singers/groups who do it professionally
The plot and atmosphere usually suffers due to random songs inserted, too. They think the song replaces real plot elements
I know lots of people love it, though, so good for them. Not for me though
