The original version of Eldar way back in the day before they really had lore had them be space pirates. There still are Eldar corsairs and they're still cool. GW seems to be wanting to give them more focus, they got a killteam, and they're getting a novel. The new game will have a corsair companion too.

Corsairs are funny because even though they're inherently more selfish and wild than craftworld eldar, they're also more willing to work with humans, they're the main eldar that rogue traders and inquisitors will have the chance to interact with. Anyway, corsairs are cool
