I should have done software/computer engineering instead of computer science. If I had done engineering my current job would have a much easier time hiring me. I remember reading some stupidity on Reddit years ago saying that software engineering is the same as computer science except you have to take a bunch of engineering physics and math courses "you won't need". But in my university the computer science program was half fucking electives. I took three courses on ancient Rome and the only thing I routinely remember is how Hadrian had a boyfriend because he admired the Greeks. My whole life I was scared away from engineering and physics by friends and family when it would have been perfect for my autistic ass.
