thanks for your concern lads. after a caffeine + painkillers all-nighter, i woke up just now, sleep interrupted earlier at 11:30 by the buzzer. "this'll be it, then, postie, right on time."
buzzed him in. waited. he'd buzzed downstairs too. MUST be the post, then. sat by the door, trying not to make a sound. must have been 10 minutes. nothing. not a single letter, let alone my parcel. it was all lies.
downstairs entrance? nothing. just checked, again, in case he came back while i was asleep (like that second postie round yesterday or the day before). it's possible someone is nicking my post, or that the buzzer no longer unlocks the main door - shall be testing this with a friend today.
if you ask me, it's a good thing.
