I think the body can adapt well to ambient temperatures. Only some people not developed this ability very much, because they live at the same temperature all year round - in a heated house in winter and air-conditioned in summer.

As for the mattress, I have a foam one, but I've heard that the air mattress is much better, so I'll try it this year.
