You miss out on the bigger picture. First you gotta look at the game itself. The way its being played now is 10 times more fast and resource intense than it ever was aka powercreep is real. In order to keep powercreep in check (somewhat) Konami decided to create "tools" that would be a silver bullet in specific situations. Deck that adds like there's no tomorrow? Droll. Deck that keeps on vomiting its main/extra? Nibiru. Deck utilized the graveyard fully? Dimension Shifter.

All these tools are great in order to keep the powercreep in check, however there's a simple flaw. These tools can be used by ANY deck, so while you have some rogue/off-meta build that gets carried hard by handtraps, you also have already very powerful decks, sprinkling these tools on top to make 'em even better.

So how would you solve this situation? Honestly, "you cant" not unless you plan on hitting the reset button OR making a slower/older format the norm and rebuild off of that but we all know thats nothing Konami will ever dare do so, all we can do (if we plan on keep on playing) is truck along this perpetuate cycle of having to deal with rather powerful decks that are brought ever higher due to cards made specifically to counter them.
