In my 100 rounds of experience, you need your dominant hand higher up on the gun so your support hand doesnt fall off the bottom/settles in, but when you get your firing hand up higher you get slide bite and it hurts. A beavertail solves this pretty well.

You can overcome the lack of frontstrap texturing and the small safety but I feel like a beavertail is kinda necessary to shoot a 1911 two handed
