When I say "got used to it" I don't mean I like the design more, I just can't be bothered to actively complain about it now.

Honestly, despite being almost obsessed with Ralsei in Chapter 1 I grew so tired of him playing games and hiding info that at the end of Chapter 4 I told him to keep smiling out of spite
I have a schizotheory that Ralsei taking off his hat wasn't "supposed" to happen regarding the in-game prophecy. Ralsei's HUD, the 8-bit game in Chapter 3, these little miscellaneous things use his Chapter 1 design from before he started having independent feelings and contemplating the idea of being a person and not just an object. If I'm right then we'd see the hat in the future, but it would be presented as a bad thing that Ralsei has to reject.

Hopefully we get a Hatted Ralsei mod for Chapters 3 & 4 before then, like we got one for Chapter 2.
