IDF anons have posted in /k/ threads before. I vaguely recall one who took part in the initial invasion of Gaza who was posting here when they were preparing.

The second group sees itself in more of a "struggle" (it's like a mental state of war with Israel or at least with an idea of Israel in their head) and holds two contradictory ideas at the same time, which is that Oct. 7 was based and the hipsters at that rave had it coming, and it was the IDF that killed those people, not Hamas.

Whatever they think they're doing, the basic flaw in it is that there's nothing they can do which Hamas won't undo. Hamas has a suicidal strategy and will inevitably pull some all-or-nothing, zero-sum move that Israelis will interpret as seeking their annihilation and it will encourage Israelis to double down anyways, which cancels out the Free Palestine actists demanding Israel stop. Hamas did the Oct. 7 and also did this to Shani Louk (even for anons who don't like Jews imagine that it was Stacy from Illinois or something) then during ceasefire ceremonies paraded hostages like trophies and then put out a video later of a starving hostage digging his own grave. You have to think about how that goes over with the average Israeli. I'm not Israeli but there's a serious lack of a "theory of mind" here among their enemies. Nobody ever seems to ask "how will my enemy react to X."
