People don't really understand how this works. "The left" becomes a vague and all-encompassing label and people see a demonstration and think "the left" but not ask who those specific people are. The European state leaders, no, but that rally in Times Square that happened right when the war started was a specific group called the PSL, which is a far-left tankie-type group. Overall they might have (at best) a membership in the U.S. in the low thousands. Maybe. Maybe around 1,000. In many major cities, there will be like 20 of these people and whenever something happens, they show up with pre-made signs, and if it involves something like Palestine, and in New York City you'll have several hundred more pissed-off Arabs also show up, and the PSL "leads" them in the march. But that's only because they're wearing match shirts and the ones holding the signs and starting chants so other people follow them. (There are also Palestinian organizations too.)

It's almost routine. This group especially because that's practically all they do. Their members -- who are almost all in their twenties -- pay dues to the "party" and that pays the salaries for the people who run it (which is also a small group), and their "job" is to go out and do this whenever something happens, and they have their name plastered on their signs, and that's how they recruit more people to replenish their numbers from attrition as their members drop out because they realize it's grift. They're constantly churning through leftists and then recruiting the next batch.

The statistics most people refer to when talking about genocide is a work of complete fiction. The IPC study just pulled random numbers and came up with a figure that would get attention. They have no way of actually collecting the necessary data. If there were really 60k dead from starvation alone as the released statistics claim, the evidence would be overwhelming. We would see mass graves and piles of bodies, there would be thousands of pictures of starving people. Every POW I see returned from Russia looks far worse than the average Palestinian. Even the figures released by the Gaza health ministry don't come close corroborating 60k.
The whole Palestine thing is 90% a social media trend that won't go away, so many zoomers post about it performatively. There is an actual genocide going on in Africa and an actual famine going on in a different part of Africa but you don't hear a word about those.

I’ve seen people trying to boycott random things saying they’re donating to Israel, and when asked for proof they would post an infographic that doesn’t mention the company they’re boycotting at all. When called out they would just start screeching about how zionists are harassing them.
