I like Ian, but he's not an ordnance expert and his video on the RPG-7 was way outside his wheelhouse and it shows. To illustrate the point, Ian in the video talks about how US soldiers would see local national allies removing the green caps from RPG warheads. He specifically mentions them to be green in his retelling just like the one on his table in the video. Except those green caps are a distinctive feature of Bulgarian inert training rounds, and therefore the story is obvious BS.

Soviet PG-7s used VP-7 and VP-7M fuzes. Both of which have setback arming with minimum safe distance. All major HEAT copies are similarly designed. The Chinese for example use a Type-2 fuze which is just a straight copy of the VP.
