What confuses me is that Israelis still provide food, water, electricity, and medical aid - in addition to dropping leaflets and calling Palestinians' phones to encourage them to evacuate before a strike - despite the fact that those same Palestinians would happily murder them and their pets, rape their daughters, and burn their infant children alive.
Historically, the only thing Palestinians care about is land, so losing some should reinforce the lesson that peace is better than war, since Hamas clearly doesn't care about how many of their own civilians are killed by their actions.
