Nah, there is 95% chance it would fail. The reason why people stick to subs isn't because they hate the English language (mostly) but rather because the VA environment between America and the rest of the world is just different. You have people taking "creative liberties" with the original script. You have VAs who make politics their whole identity. You have e-celeb VAs with too much drama. You have VAs with egos who think an echi script is beneath them and give the worst voice acting imaginable out of spite. A dub can only work if the cast is willing it to put their all into it. That means no ironic voice acting and no script changes. The chance of that happening is fucking 5% because no English speaker wants to be associated with echi for fear of getting canceled. For something like Mahoako, not bothering at all with the English dubbing market was definitely the right approach. Maybe I am being pessimistic here but c'mon, people have seen that shit get repeated enough times to know not to bother with dubs in general.
