This is from the chill-chill English list, right? If so, I'd take that list with a grain of salt since the sample size is a lot smaller than the Japanese equivalent.

Anyways, if I were to judge the tastes, 1st place got boring for me and I struggle to understand why it's on there and thought of so highly. 2nd has its merit, though personally, I didn't enjoy the plot twist regarding the island. 3rd I've read long ago, and iirc, it wasn't bad, but did nothing to amaze me. 4th is pretty interesting and informative regarding sign language. I like it a lot, but wouldn't put it in my top 5. 5th is something I reread a lot and enjoy a lot. Hate that it's the only volume that we focus on this particular Amish couple, as the ending's time and place implications could make for an interesting story. Still, 5th is a good placement for it.
Overall, aside from 1st place, everything else has a pretty okay placement, even if I don't necessarily agree with most of it.
