>Marvel and DC
The 2010s at Marvel were pretty bad and I remember an incident where shop owners basically shouted at Marvel representatives. But people are still talking about the same few big two comics, same few panels, same few issues. Everything else is ignored. I remember an article, I forget where at, talking about how comics social media has gotten pretty big but most of these people talking about comics don't read them. And the culture wars stuff is a whole other thing. People could read, watch and support things they like, but instead they talk and complain because that has become the entertainment, in and of itself. Talking about what you like online is like taking a defensive posture, so even when people do talk about things they like, they do it in a bland posturing way. This feels like death by a thousand cuts because we don't get actual discussion we get the same comments over and over. Heck, if this person gave specific examples about why things are bad, I'd accept that more than the same bland statements.
