I'm convinced a lot of anti circumcision threads are cover for a anti-American demoralization campaign. Rather that spreading awareness about circumcision and justifiably criticizing those who defend it, they try to simply demoralize the US in general. OP's "only two countries circumcise" makes your brain jump to "Israel and the US", thereby equating the US and Israel, rather than accurately pointing out that the commonality of US circumcision is largely due to Judaism.

These threads always have these characteristics:
Criticize the US, but Israel either slightly or not at all
Never provide information to men about restoration, and mock or discredit it if the topic arises
Never provide information to parents that would steer them away from circumcision
Never bring up the prevalence of circumcision in Islamic countries, Africa, or the far east.
Ignore shifting in US public opinion against circumcision
Demean Americans circumcized as helpless infants as idiots who chose it form themselves
