as you posted, ews is based on an older novel and is meant to illustrate the 33 degrees of scottish rite masonry, not a mea culpa of what the elites get up to. in fact the character zeigler (means mason in german) represents God, but since the masons have a gnostic worldview we can call him the demiurge.
one of the names of the demiurge is yaldabaoth, which means "child of chaos". very close in meaning to sons of anarchy. yaldabaoth and his children are considered the devil and his demons.
the shining is gnostic as well. the little kid is jesus/horus, and the old black guy is john the baptist/osiris. masons syncretize the horus myth with jesus, along with many others like romulus. so this makes YHVH equal to set in their eyes. so you see a little bit taken from each tradition to make up the characters.
jack torrance is God. torrance sounds like "torrents", as in torrents of rain that make a flood. he is an author, aka writes the story of the world. but since the demiurge is a dualistic entity, the overlook hotel itself is also the demiurge, the other half.
he is also partly based on dionysius, kind of like mr lahey from trailer park boys. it was a massive religion back in the day to mix YHVH and dionysius believe it or not.
usually if the God character's wife is abused, she represents the jewish people. think falling down.

if you haven't guessed it by now, every movie ever made can be interpreted reliably as a gnostic allegory.
