Can't speak for all autocross dudes, but my local club is super fun, laidback and welcoming. Half the cars are shitboxes just hooning for fun, but even the dudes in very capable sports cars or fully prepped race cars seem to be nice and helpful. Pic related is from the last race; dude was up on three wheels for 50% of the course and it was hilarious.
