It could always be worse. Those clear walls are actually a waste of material and unnecessary at that point. Just go full warmahordes flat terrain if you're going to rip out the soil of the hobby and commercialize events.

I have that mat, at least the old 6x4 version. It's great becuase the design measure out deployments and objective placement. Plus it's durable and has survived a decade ish looking new
