So I watched Paprika the other day for the first time and I fear that Zeztz won't be able to achieve anything close to its surrealness. It's weird because I feel that Kazuya Kamihoriuchi and Tomo Hyakutake which this show has are the right people to make something close to Paprika but so far the action shots shown feel too standard I guess, at least they aren't a slow-mo galore like King-Ohger I guess?

Except that none of the interviews have stated what Minato, Sota or Ahagon have done for the show and unlike Gotchard we know that Yanaka, Takahashi, Bandai and Kami came up with most of the important stuff. We only assume that Minato came up with the toys and the idea of spies because the toyline is similar to Gotchard and because Minato was the only one besides Takahashi and Murase that talked in detail about the spy stuff, so it's safe to assume that he was the one who proposed the idea, if not him then Takahashi. Point is, it doesn't seem like Yanaka will be like Minato where he leaves the important decisions to other people while limiting the staff's creative choices as much as possible. Yanaka also mentioned that he wants to take as much time to develop the world in a way that doesn't feel cheap, like King-Ohger so that's probably why we have 3 vice producers.

It's mostly that people think it's too soon for another Takahashi show or for another Ichigo homage, rather than the show itself looking bad. The people that are acting as if this show is irredeemable from the get-go are just the falseflaggers that pretend that Takahashi is both the worst and best thing that has happened to Rider.
