Okay, why has that not shown up in the story? We have one panel of him calling himself out for killing his dad, and at best one chapter dedicated to the memories he has of Power and Aki. Part 2 is now longer than part 1 but it only serves as a pity party where things don't get worse, and they don't get better. We're in the same position we've been in from the start. Denji is a sex freak who keels to any woman who gives him an ounce of attention. Asa is still doing whatever the fuck she's doing. Nayuta is admittedly dead, but no one in the story cares. The other characters? Do I give a fuck? Part 1 had a strong foundation in Power and Aki, am I to believe Fujimoto wants me to care that much about the sword guy, katana dude, fucking death? I don't. There is not a single reason why part 1 could not have served as a proper conclusion to the story other than the loose blood devil plotline which, by the way, we still haven't even touched on. It does not justify its existence.
