you can swing through pallets, get a hit, and get stunned on the same side as the survivor
with enduring you will recover fast enough to 180 and hit the survivor again before they can get to other side
aping is just ignoring the pallet and holding W. it's not a good habit to have necessarily but does have utility and prevents survivors from being able to punish you for respecting the pallet.
bonus application is insurance if you do eat a stun, that the survivor can't leave the loop or unzone themselves
