For me, it's the combination of all the social problems we have today with advanced technology that, in a much better world, would improve things, but instead makes everything so much worse.

Cyberpunk isn't on D&D's level when it comes to popularity, but it's definitely caught on thanks to 2077 and Edgerunners. A shame to see Shadowrun so low, though.
