The logical end point of this position though is that no games should ever look like that because we no longer have those same limitations. While you could apply it to 'retro' devs who specifically limit themselves to a certain file size, that wouldn't be able to apply in this context specifically because it's a game inside a game.
Also, out of place pixels being crooked or different sized was absolutely present in older games. Much like today, games back in the day had varying level of visual quality and detail.
