I find interesting how we saw this very scenario four times, playing almost exactly the same

>Beloved game franchise that have been dormant for a decade or more get a new sequel
>Sells decently due to outside reasons (nostalgia, curiosity, being carried due to its developer being the hottest star at the moment in the case of Armored Core)
>People hype it at first but once the honeymoon ended they realized the game was very mediocre at best, one of its franchise's worst entries at worst
>The franchise dies again, this time forever
