It's not a betrayal to change your mind, especially in an instance where the people you're changing your mind about have all (except Martlet) tried to kill you.
Also, about Martlet. Okay, she doesn't go as hard on Clover during her pacifist fight, but she's still keeping that DT syringe on her in case she needs to put you down, so even she was planning on having to kill you at some point. That's not as bad as what Starlo and Ceroba did, but it's definitely not great. If I learned that a friend of mine was keeping a magnum on their person specifically to kill me as a contingency plan, I think my trust in them would be pretty shaken.
There's a reason most people don't like working with Batman after they find out he has plans to kill them all.
