I've also had people lash out at me for playing a mute character despite still roleplaying and communicating via charades and nonverbal means, and a witch with leprosy and a useless arm, and a completely blind character in a freeform anime RP. The simple fact is that if your disability cannot be magicked away it is not going to be allowed at the table, even if they claim to be "inclusive" because it's too much for them to handle.

Just another example of left-wing ableism. Your disability is welcome until it inconveniences someone.
