Well buddy he was Chris’s neighbor and had a clear rapport with Shanan- guys like Chris don’t just murder people they show signs well beforehand and the neighbor is clearly astute and had him pegged because any man with a family of his own is always taking notice of his surroundings particularly the men in his neighborhood to gauge if they’re threats or not- the way Chris was acting and how the story didn’t add up was a dead giveaway to what was most likely previously established abnormal behaviour
Why wouldn’t he tell the cops he’s suspicious of a guy who might have MURDERED HIS FAMILY? He’s thinking about his own wife and kids and the rest of the neighborhood- you don’t want that dude around if you have a hunch-
