I have expressed no opinion on the validity of MRI, on anything else regarding this discussion. I was instead supporting your point by replying to that anon asking if MRI is so sure as a diagnosis why don't they do it every time. I am just pointing out how big pharma doesn't like objective and measurable ways to diagnose an illness because regardless of how many legitimate trans persons there are is the diagnosis is left to individual judgement from a professional then they can pressure or convince those to relax their standards and have a lot more people hooked on drugs. It won't be the first time. A lot more harder when the diagnosis becomes "do an MRI, if there is X then it's a diagnosis".
>they're expensive and estrogen costs like $100 dollars a year
MRIs are not scalable the same way drugs prescription are, they are una tantum instead of having a steady flux of sales (the same way everything is shifting to subscription services) and Google is giving me prices extremely more inflated than 100$ a year, especially if you don't have an insurance.
