Happens to all franchises. They all lose their grit and adopt a softer more sanitized style.
Old Naruto used to be gritty, new Naruto/Boruto is soft and gay.
Old Yugioh used to be gritty now look at the likes of RUSH, same old soft, gay and safe art.
DBZ used to be gritty. Now look at Super, soft, gay and safe.
Even fucking Pokemon had a certain grit to it, now, once again, it adopts the same soft, gay and safe artstyle as all the others.

I've seen this happen to every franchise I've liked without fail. They start with grit, then end in soft sterile homosexuality.
