Apparently it also is the case that they lied to the ESRB. Someone went on ESRB's website and noticed that they found no indications of dismemberment whatsoever. So it's possible that VOID lied to the ESRB by only showing them the lack of dismemberment AFTER NPCs are killed (which the update disables dismemberment of). Not sure if that's the case but if true it would be shame if the ESRB were informed they were lied to.
