Made a dark skin wash which is 10 drops of daler rowney red oxide and 10 drops of liquitex carbon black.
Made a strong skin shade which is basically a sepia wash that is 10 drops of daler rowney sepia and 10 drops of daler rowney burnt umber.
I think I’ve covered the basics of diy acrylic washes now.
Remember liquitex carbon black is a semi opaque black ink so if you need to darken but not too much then go with the semi opaque ink as an opaque ink will darken too much.
This has been a fun and messy journey. My pc is currently in for repairs so I won’t be able to draft some pdf pages for the hobbyist edition’s pages until it comes back.
