They're going to retcon together again, and they've already moved in that direction because the old Finn from Together Again is a Finn that never learned to move past grief. Main timeline Finn has scar under his cheek and old man Finn didn't.

Believe in Huntress realizing she doesn't want to live without Finn and Finn getting over his trauma of losing Jake.Also from a narrative perspective it would be weird to show Huntress's origins and her struggle to race back to Finn with the cure only for them to kill her either of them in the end.
