I just personally hope episode 10 is good. In the sense that it gives Finn and HW a happy ending. Not just because it's shipping related, but because it would end on a positive note for a season and potentially the series if there is not a season 3. Which will create positive discussion and creations for years to come until the next series gets made.

I don't think it's really explored much with Huntress Wizard's character (hopefully this will change later this season), but I'm pretty sure Huntress is a fairly spiritual character, at least in a druidic sense. Not just with the strange hand gesture thing, but she meditates as we saw in the finale, and even appears to have a small shrine in her home, with a thing in it that almost resembles the heart of the forest creature.

It's conjecture on my part, but regardless, there's a lot lying under the surface with Huntress Wizard's character that is yet to be explored. It's part of what makes her so fascinating.

I will say this, as someone who looks back at the archives and remembers history, if this show ends up affecting more of the characters after this point. Taking the characters and stories in a direction that people won't like. Then the rest of the fandom and the people here won't recover from this ever again.

I guarantee you, as someone who has been lurking in these discussions. I can say that if the writers write off Huntress wizard to sacrifice herself or move on from Finn. Then all of these autistic shipping wars will be over. Yeah, people will complain. But the result of this show will have a finality to it that will make people accept the reality of it. For me, I'll be watching this place's reaction when expectations aren't met. Also, as well as seeing damage control from shizos and shippers projecting their idealism in a show that has proven them wrong multiple times in the end.

I find it difficult to be invested in the Finn/Huntress Wizard ship in general because of how Finn's story ended in Together Again. No family or loved ones besides Jake really mattered in that episode and if Finn at least became life partners with Huntress or had children with her there you'd think would've been at least something about them slipped in there.

As much as I liked Together Again, it was a premature story to tell. I think the simplest explanation is that, with the exception of Simon and Jake of course, everyone important in Finn's life is either immortal or very long-lived. PB, Marcy, Huntress and any potential children they had together were very likely still alive when Finn died. So when Finn did die, the very first person he thought of going to see was Jake, because it had been so long since he last saw him and there weren't very many others Finn was close to who were dead. Where Finn spent most of his life after Jake's death never being able to emotionally heal from it.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if they have HW get super pissed at Finn for going to the place she told him not to, and causing all this crazy shit.
They might have her break the relationship off based on that, guys.

Since it's mostly a series of one-shots and short vignettes stories like the kid's first hunts and dungeons are definitely topics I want to focus on, plus plenty of one-on-one time between each parent and child to flesh out their individual relationships. Not to mention all the fun scenes I've got planned between the kids and other characters.
I've got a whole proper story planned with Bronwyn having to babysit the sprouts only to get roped into a big 'ol quest I can't wait to start on.

Season 2 ends with Huntress Wizard sacrificing herself to become the new Heart of the Forest but she leave Finn with their plant hybrid child to raise and that’s why Finn continues on to live until he dies as an old man.

I don't think AT would concern itself with answering this, but what do you think HW actually is? There are other plant people in Ooo, Wildberry princess for instance, as well as the creations of the Grass Wizard. Plus the other members of the Green Wizard group. None of those appear to be the same as HW though. Though now that I say that I guess half the members of the Green Wizards had grass for hair just like HW so maybe that could mean something.

Huntress Wizard most closely resembles a Dryad and is very consistent to Artemis/Diana from the Greek & Roman pantheons. It wouldn't surprise me if her real potential name is a reference to this.

They're going to retcon together again, and they've already moved in that direction because the old Finn from Together Again is a Finn that never learned to move past grief. Main timeline Finn has scar under his cheek and old man Finn didn't.

A lot of HW’s development will be dealing with her emotional hangups, with her fear of growing soft and thinking she’s cease to matter if she’s in love, and her commitment issue in how she’s on the fence on whether she truly wants Finn as a stable figure in her life when all she’s known before him is mainly going lone-wolf considering she immediately ditched the green wizards the moment she was initiated. I rewatched the episode 2 and notice that the beginning HW was hitting the rock with no control, no meaning, no discipline, so all her training was about patience and coordination, so when she finally broke the rock, her hits was perfectly coordinated with a flow movement

Its probably the result of Finn not doing the ritual properly. HW sacrificed her hand and it got absorbed to be part of the tree.
The poison is probably prepping Finn to be part of the tree and needs to get absorbed by the tree to complete the ritual. But since the heart of the forest is dead, don't think this is possible.

Her flashback did show her becoming more in tune with nature. HW using the honeycomb as some sort of white noise to help her sleep isn’t too far off. Though I like to think she also wanted something to snuggle with as part of her still just being a kid.

So it wasn't just me, feels like this season is taking it's sweet time to do anything actually fun. It spent the majority of the first three episodes focusing on "relatable" millennial struggles with Fionna and only some Finn, Simon and Huntress moments to remind you this is supposed to be an Adventure Time show. Just rewatched Season 1 of Fionna and Cake and I think I know what the problem is. Season 1 flows like one continuous story, leaving suspense at just the right moment at the end of each episode. Season 2 utilizes a Plot A/Plot B format, which means it takes twice as long to get through one story in particular. We'd technically be through the first half of episode 2 at this pace, which is about how long it took for season 1 to catch its footing.

Aside from the pacing issue, I just find season 1 to be more interesting overall. Fionna is enjoying herself, face plants here or there, and we're exploring many of the unanswered questions we had from the original show. 6/10 (being really nice) for the most recent episode. Still seven more episodes to go and I'm sure once we leave townie land we'd actually have something to talk about.
