Should I finally watch this Trilogy? never seen before, the length of the movies puts me off

The Lord of the Rings trilogy is over 20 years old, can it be considered vintage?

Y'all as someone who never saw it earlier as a kid, these movies are so fucking good.

I remember before I saw Harry Potter and I was disappointed, but this takes a lot of things from that and instantly makes them better. The way Gandalf is done is what being a fucking wizard should be like

I'm serious. When I saw these movies, it felt like an out of body experience. Meanwhile my friend is telling me how HP is a better franchise.
