The entire situation becomes quite clear once you realize there is cult-like devotion to Naoki Yoshida. Like any cult, they must support and defends the leaders name with religious fervor. Suddenly in this context, every outburst makes perfect sense. It's just that these types usually aren't willing to admit that this is what they're doing, and so the cognitive dissonance deepens and creates further and further tension amongst dissenters.

People wouldn't really care that much about it anymore if these people just admitted the truth. "Yes, I don't own the products but I do defend the name of the producer every single day because I have an emotional attachment to him. What are you gonna do about it?" If they were honest, these people could come to terms with their fragile emotions surrounding him a lot easier, and they won't have to get so personally offended every single time anyone makes fun of Yoshida on the internet. They can come to terms with their own position, which would help stop them from being so sensitive about it
