Does anyone else feel sorry for Northern Italians? They are white like germans or swedes but because of geography they are stuck with southern italians. That isn't fair.

The British, French, Spanish and even Portuguese had glorious empires stretching the globe. Where is Italy's great empire? Why did they fail at colonization?
