Problem is now that people can read the bible for themselves, you can't have a "based" version that conveniently ignores parts you don't like.
I also understand why the nazis attempted Positive Christianity, but I don't see how it could work, seeing as it would be obvious the government is trying to censor 'the word of god'. You can't erase previous versions out of existence and memory.
